Joshua Tarrant

I created this blog to keep track of my racing exploits. I am currently racing with a great elite team out of Michigan (Team Lathrup/Giant)formerly Ford/Giant Cycling team. This makes it easy for my family to read about my races and see pictures of me in action. Thank you very much for positive comments and for reading

Bad Weather, Tough Training

Today is yet another day of bad weather. Of course it always happens when I have some specific training and a long day on the bike. I spent 2hrs on the rollers and another hr outside freezing in the snow on the cross bike. I can't wait to live someplace a little warmer. The winters get really tough around here. Anyways, time to do some hw and relax a little. Till next time. Thanks for reading.

Another Level

After the rediculously hard training that i was put through in December I have come out of it feeling stronger than I ever have. I've been doing a lot of threshold work and the bike is feeling really really good. I am very motivated for the upcoming season. I feel like i've moved up another level and am ready to step up to the plate with the big boys. My first race is about 4weeks away so the season is rolling up fast.

Winter Training in the Sunny South

I was able to spend most of the m0nth of December and part of January in North Carlolina training at my dads. The weather was awesome, and i got a ton of good work in. The training was really tough and a little lonely. Christmas was great at my dad's though and i had a good time. I hated to leave. After NC, i headed down to Florida to watch Tara run the Disney Marathon. She is a trooper, i am so proud of here. It was really warm and a tough couse but she toughed it out and did great. We got to do the whole tourist thing while were there including Gatorland, Magic Kingdom and Universal Studios. The weather was amazing and it was a real drag to come home to michigan's freezing weather. School is going well so far and my training is starting to pick up in intensity. I am looking forward to my best year yet. Hopefully this will be the year that i can turn some heads. Til next time, thanks for reading.
